Terms of Service

The service

Tools Rodeo is a curated directory of software tools, free to browse and free to submit to, provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. An optional paid listing upgrade exists (see “Paid listings”). Listings are informational: we don't endorse, sell, or support the listed software.

Accounts

Sign-in is via Google. You're responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or delete accounts that abuse the service.

Content

If you submit content, you confirm you have the right to share it, including any logo or screenshot you upload, and you grant us a license to display it on Tools Rodeo. We can remove any listing, or any other content, at any time and for any reason, without notice and without explaining why. A listing being live today is not a promise that it stays live. Spam, malware links, and illegal content are removed immediately.

Submissions are reviewed automatically before they are published, and a submission may be rejected. We don't guarantee that any submission will be published.

Links and the badge

Some listings carry a link that search engines are free to follow, offered in exchange for showing our badge on your site. We check the badge is still there; if it goes missing we write to you, and if it's still gone the next day the link becomes nofollow. Your listing stays live either way, and putting the badge back restores the link.

A followable link here is provided as-is. We make no promise about any SEO outcome, about our own domain authority, which may rise or fall for reasons outside anyone's control, or that any link stays live indefinitely. Search engines decide what a link is worth, not us.

The badge rules are one reason a listing or its link may go. They are not the only one: as above, we can remove any listing at any time, for any reason.

Paid listings

Some listing upgrades are paid. What an upgrade includes is described where you buy it, and it buys exactly what is described there — nothing else.

Everything above still applies to an upgraded listing. We make no promise about any SEO outcome or any metric, ours or yours, and we can still remove any listing at any time, for any reason — an upgrade is not an exception, though a removal by us is usually a proper reason for a refund. Content that breaks the rules loses its listing, paid or not.

Payments are handled by our payment provider as merchant of record; the purchase itself is governed by their checkout terms. Refunds are at our discretion — in practice we usually grant them when there is a proper reason; just write to us. Deleting your account deletes your listing with it.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for damages arising from use of the site or from third-party software found through it. External links are followed at your own risk.
